I had the idea for this comic around mid-semtemebr of 2023, the original concept was an AU of another comic, but quickly (within 15 minutes or so) evolved into it's own thing. It's not uncommon for me to come up with stories and characters, but it is uncommon for me to write out whole outlines and even more to draw the chracters

I bought a cheap composition notebook at the grocery store with the idea that I might do some more drawings of these characters, what ended up happeneing was the comic. I started on the 5th of november, 2023, and finished on the 10th of january. I think the average is something like 2-3 pages per day, but really it was far more spread out than that. on a few occassions I'd do just one at a time, usually it was 5-10 at a time. On the last day I drew the last 23 pages, my hands have never hurt like that before.

When i was finished with the comic I took a good long sleep (I deserved it) and started thinking about how i'd do it digitally. I first had the idea of scanning every page and tracing over them in PhotoShop, using a drawing tablet. This turned out terribly. The solution I went up going with, which is better suited to my style, is drawing the panels individually in TuxPaint, a free art program for kids, and doing the page layout, text and extra effects in InDesign. I had tried to do page layout in PhotoShop but it simply wasn't built for that, and I gave up quickly.

I still don't have a name for this comic, as of writing this. I've struggled with a name for the entire process, and i've just been referring to it as the fantasy project in conversation. When it's finished, I'll upload it to this website, and maybe make this page public. I don't want fame out of this, I just want to make something that other people will know me for. I don't want to die a nobody, I want to have made something great.
