our last coffee from wegmans, and it’s a doozy. I really don’t know how to describe the flavor of this, it’s awful! it’s got chunks in it even after being shaken well and stirred in a mug. This drink has a lot of carbs for a coffee and it tastes like it. ‘Pea protein’ is listed as an ingredient but there’s only one gram of protein, why did your drink need peas? It’s coffee! This one tastes absolutely awful, I think it may be our first one out of eight in flavor it’s like bad hot cocoa mix with peas in it. Value? Who cares, don’t buy it!

nutritional facts

Wegman's is not a health food store, it’s a normal grocery store with an upstate New York flair. I imagine they run some sort of quality standards course for the things they sell in their store, how did this get through? Imagine your options are high brew cold brew, the illy drink we tried, or this and you chose this. If I drank this on my daily commute I’d throw myself under the bus. And what gets me most is that it touts having health benefits, providing energy from caffeine (duh,) focus from theanine, clarity from lions mane and calm from ashwagandha.

Also, I think it's claiming to aid with dyslexia. Well I'm a smart rabbit, why don't I look into these things and see if they can really do what the can claims or if it's all snake oil?

THEANINE- compound found in black and green tea leaves, said to reduce anxiety and stress and improve with cognitive focus. USDA allows it in doses up to 250ml, Euro. Food Safety Authority could no casual relationship (relationship with causality) between consumption and improved anything.

LIONS MANE- a type of fungus that grows in north America and Eurasia. traditional Chinese medicine with research backing, not often used in the states. It is an Adaptogen, used "for the purported stabilization of physiological processes and promotion of homeostasis," according to Wikipedia. benefits unproven, classified as a 'new drug' by the FDA and promotion of its benefits is frowned upon without proper research and clearence.

ASHWAGANDHA- shrub that grows in the middle east, india and parts of africa. there is no scientific backing behind its claims of calming effects and often can cause diahrrea and a possible increase of testosterone levels when taken alone or with perscriptions.

Well no wonder my body didn't like this, it was giving me more testosterone! That conflicts with my 'erradicate all testosterone in my body' meds! does this drink do any of the things it says on the can? No clue, it tasted too awful to drink all of it.
