Yes, there’s more.

It’s been a little over a month since I finished the Omnibus, and I can confirm that the daily coffee chugging has made me a bit dependent. On weekends I still try not to drink it, and I get tired by mid-day. Lovely. On a recent trip back to the triangle I stopped by Li Mings to get some groceries for friends. I can confirm sadly that the store no longer carries Highlands canned coffee, but Pokka UCC and BOSS are all still there. A new brand replaces Highlands, Mr. Brown. Available in black, milk coffee, vanilla, macadamia, cappuccino, and mocha. I mean, I can’t not get it, right?

nutritional facts

This coffee comes to us from Taiwan, but considering the printed on American nutritional label and California domestic offices I think I can say this was manufactured in the states. Still the website listed on the can itself goes to a Taiwanese website, and their product range is pretty great. I appreciate how some of their other drink brands also prominently feature a guy on the can, their Green Time tea has a mustachioed fisherman and their yogurt drink brand features a tennis player. Our friend Mr. Brown has a lot of coffee’s available in cans and bottles, I’d love to try more of them someday (MONKEYS PAW MONKEYS PAW MONKEYS PAW)

How is Mr. Brown’s Blue Mountain Iced Coffee? Pretty alright! There’s a bit of a bitter from the coffee and a bit of an artificial flavor from the bicarbonate and sucrose stabilizers. It’s also worth noting that this comes in a dense can. Wow. WOW!!! What a can! It’s been a month of drinking seltzers and pocari sweats out of flimsy aluminum and Mister Brown has come to set things straight. Since this can has a guy on it, I can say that Mister Brown himself is rather thick. This is our new cheapest can aside from the dollar tree special at a bit over 15 cents an ounce, and it tastes pretty good too! I think I still prefer Highlands for flavor but without my precious Highlands in the store Mr. Brown is my new goto choice.
