Oh gosh, 260mg of caffeine in this tiny can! 3 ounces of this is the same amount of caffeine as a normal cup of coffee, 6 is a java monster! Buy this if you wanna be simply TORQUED and you couldn’t care less about flavor. This is our first of two drinks from Target, like Wal-Mart for people who know what class consciousness is but don’t have any. I have to admit, some of these coffees I don’t end up finishing because they taste bad or I simply don’t want the sugar or caffeine. Seeing as its new years eve maybe it would be wise to chug this, I’d certainly stay up until midnight! No, only small sips.

nutritional facts

Flavor impression is that it tastes vaguely like homemade ice cream, as weird as that sounds. Vanilla bean and ice cream salt and sugar, it’s an odd flavor. It doesn’t at all taste like an energy drink. There’s trisodium phosphate whatever that is, but no vanilla flavor. In fact other than some chemical stabilizers this thing is primarily coffee and sweetened condensed milk. The flavor almost makes me want to drink the whole thing, as much as it would destroy me. For the longest time caffeine was a tool I used only when necessary, a fire axe behind glass. Long road trips and back to back geology labs were where coffee got broken out. That’s how I feel now with energy drinks and high caffeine coffees, only for emergency. A java monster is a gross tasting expense I must make so I can pass a final and drive home after 3 hours of sleep.

If you can find Sang I wouldn’t recommend getting it, just because the good flavor is behind so, so much caffeine. It wasn’t on the shelves in the coffee aisle, rather it was in targets quick stop section at the front along with Arizona green tea in weird fake glass bottles and the $1.50 popcorn boxes.
