See my UCC Original review and think of everything I said there but with a bit more of a fruity berry taste from the Kona. That’s about it.

We are now halfway through the omnibus’ selection of canned coffee drinks and as we go farther in we start seeing repeats. UCC Kona is the same as UCC but with some Kona coffee thrown in to zazz it up, yay. If you’re a commuter and you’re tired of standard UCC you may get this instead. Would I say the flavor is better, no it’s just a little different. One day I’d prefer old reliable and the other I’d be craving something new. I don’t even wanna come up with more ‘dense can’ jokes, it’s the same can as the other UCC.

nutritional facts

The value proposition comes up, again. In my other UCC post I talked about how similar it was to my typical coffee routine, how it tasted like Cafe Bustelo but at a higher cost per ounce compared to home brewing. The added Kona Berry in this alters the flavor but I’m sure one of the other blends the Cafe Bustelo company makes would get you a comparable result. How about nutrition, this contains less of almost everything including sugar but 2 grams more added sugar so the percentage on the back goes up. So if you’re chugging these daily for the rest of your life the Kona blend may serve you better by giving you the tiniest sliver less fat but also less calcium and potassium. My guess is the ‘no less than 10% of Kona Coffee’ just means subbing it for cream but it does make for a good tasting blend and hey that’s what it’s all about. Altogether though I don’t think 20 calories is gonna make or break your diet.

Going back and drinking it you can actually taste the lack of cream compared to UCC original, this is a more ‘pure’ coffee drink if you count purity by the amount of hair it puts on your chest. That’s misleading, this coffee isn’t as bitter as the lack of cream would lead you to believe and not nearly as bitter as this post. Does this sound bitter? I think I’m just at a lack of things to talk about. If you’re tired of plain UCC get this instead.
