"Korea’s No. 1 RTD Coffee Drink", the front of the can says, and I can see why. This is our second and last drink from H-Mart, and as far as I can tell the only Korean drink we’re reviewing. I was surprised H-Mart didn’t have more than this and the Royal Mills coffee, they had some BOSS drinks but they were in bottles not cans so they don’t count. I wish there were more Korean coffee drinks available, because this one truly earns the prestige of being Koreas number one, it’s great!

nutritional facts

Now I haven’t had many americanos in my time but I know that it’s more than just coffee and cream, somehow. I looked it up, it’s a shot of espresso with hot water poured over it, served here with cream and sugar (plus a little baking soda I assume as a stabilizer.) So that’s why the americanos I’ve had were awful, it’s Great Depression coffee! We’ve got enough to pull an espresso shot but not make full drip so just flub it with some hot water, because what is espresso but coffee concentrate? Well joking aside this americano is amazing, it’s slightly bitter but the sugar and soda combat that really well, with cream to give it a smooth texture. I can definitely taste the more concentrated bitter of the espresso shot but it’s evened out well.

Also worth noting is that this is one of two drinks on this list that have a bottle shaped can, with a small lip and twist cap at the top. UCC has one in this format but it’s at the very end so stick around for that. This coffee is great, but it’s not 4 dollars great. It’s one of the higher prices cans on the list and while It backs it up with great flavor I wouldn’t get this over a normal americano from a good coffee shop. Maybe get that one with cream and sugar, though.
