Mr. Brown. Mister Brown, the queen of all of my dreams. The cream in my coffee, save for when it’s served black. Speaking of, I’ve forgotten to bring a coffee to work the last few days and have been drinking whatever hot brown has been available at the machine I was working on. It was ok, even without sugar! I even sort of enjoyed black coffee for once, and that was folgers out of a Mr. Coffee sat next to heavy industry. So Mister Brown hasn’t been as tantalizing as before, and I may even consider going back to office coffee. As a matter of fact…
I’ve gone over to the office coffee machine (not the one by the heavy industry, the one in the climate controlled office) and poured myself a bit of coffee, without any sugar or creamer or powdered cream. Just, black coffee. Now this won’t be the most fair taste test as the Mr. Brown has cream, sugar, and in this case added cappuccino flavors and it’s being served cold as opposed to straight off the hot pot of a Bunn-o-Matic. But how do they compare?
The cappuccino is easily the best of the three Brown’s I’ve had, there’s a bit of a chocolate smoothness in there I think? I don’t think that’s normally a flavor in a cappuccino but I’m not sure. The office coffee, after cooling, is watery and could use a bit of real cream for some body… but it gets the job done! It tastes much better when not intruded on by sugar, coffee mate, and powdered creamer. I may have judged the office coffee, and black coffee as a whole, too harshly. I’m gonna combine the two of these and polish it off.
