Oh, H-Mart! H-Mart is a Korean supermarket that operates sort of like Wegman’s in that there’s a bunch of locations in some areas and only a few down here, pilot locales to see if the local populous is ready for that kind of store. In both cases yes, we very much are. H-Mart was my second to last stop on this journey, and I only found two canned coffee things there but walking through those thin, densely packed isles was like heaven for a grocery store enthusiast such as myself. Truthfully this project may have been an excuse to go to a bunch of stores, but don’t tell nobody ok?

nutritional facts

Our first of two H-Mart finds is a Royal Mills Cappuccino, product of Hawaii! The can isn’t made of heavy gauge aluminum like yesterday but it does have those funky waves at the top like other drinks from Hawaii and similar asian markets. Sadly this coffee isn’t quite to the quality I was hoping for, but its flavor profile opens up an interesting line of inquiry. It tastes very similar to the java monster I tried a few days ago despite not having any added energy drink chemicals. Maybe both of these share some kind of common non-diary creamer, I’ll make note of it whenever it appears through this process. I’m sure the taste can grow on me, and maybe by the end I’ll find it appealing, but for now not so much.
