Forgive me, this violates the rules. I specifically said no bottles and no flavorings, but the only thing I could find for Victor Allen coffee was vanilla flavored. Where I did the buying theres a dollar tree right next to the Harris teeter, and I figured I’d go in and get some cheap snacks while I was getting my expensive coffees. They had this and a cold brew something or other in a tiny can so I got this. It’s technically our absolute cheapest coffee on the list by a long distance, and it tastes like a dunkaroo.

nutritional facts

Really, thats the flavor profile! I’m getting no coffee, just sugar and vanilla, and it has the same kind of imitation vanilla flavoring as a dunkaroo. I remember having dunkaroos in pre-school, it’s such a nostalgic taste that even still only modern Betty Crocker Dunk-A-Roo’s capture. This coffee also captures it, probably by sheer nature of being so cheap. I expected to this to have more sugar than an Arizona green but looking at the nutritional facts it’s only 15 grams total sugar, 11g added making up 22% of your daily value but it’s really more like 30 once you add a bit of realism.

This coffee is too cheap for its own good, it drinks like candy but it’s still smooth enough to be tolerable. Of course I feel like if I drank the whole can I’d have a heart attack but thats more psychosomatic than anything else. By the nature of dollar tree you may never see these on a shelf, they’re likely leftovers from war-mart or Kroger or somewhere with an inventory problem. I wanna rate it low on flavor or disquality it for being vanilla flavored, but i honestly quite enjoyed the bit I drank. Of course, I'm not finishing it. by god, no. If you see one get it, it’s worth trying. After all, it’s only a dollar 25.
