COFFEE NAME

We come to the end of our first round of Ebisu coffees. I can’t remember which is which now, but Ebisu is notable for having coolers along with a hot cabinet by the register. That’s such a good idea, especially here in the cold north! It was summer when I got these, though, so doesn’t do me any favors. Well, if I liked hot coffee and I wasn’t buying six of the things maybe it would. Actually, next time I go to the mall I’ll get a hot one and drink it while I walk around. Yeah! Yeah…

BOSS cannot do wrong, and the last few non-BOSS low sugar coffees proved that. Even with low sugar BOSS comes through with the flavor profile of the roast itself, showing that the brand doesn’t need cream and sugar as a crutch. It could give it to you black with grounds floating in it and you’d still ask for seconds. There’s one more BOSS later on, but for now we’ve gotta knock one more out of the park. Wow me, luxury!

Hm. It’s far from undrinkable, but it’s hard to drink without the subjectivity of the brands reputation. It’s low sugar and cream again, and the coffee flavor comes through in nice ways. But it’s not a brazillian roast or what have you like the last BOSS we drank. It’s got more of a diner coffee taste, the classic roast. I’m sure if my translator helped me with this can we’d have some extra clues to the flavor profile they’re going for but I forgot to ask her. The low cream and sugar doesn’t feel as justified here, theres not as many flavor profiles in the roast that are worth pulling back the curtains to see. If I had a choice between this and the premium blue can BOSS we drank earlier this week I’d go for the blue can. Or I’d get a UCC since it’s about the same price all said and done. Still, try this one for the fun of it. Why not!
