No, I didn’t find the receipt for these coffees, and I didn’t feel like rooting around in the trash can for it. I can tell you, however, that this coffee has a listed caffeine content! 140 milligrams is, wow that’s a lot. It’s a hell of a lot for 8 ounces too! And unlike yesterdays Mr Brown, this has no sugar and only 10 calories. This is a proper and true black coffee, no cream no sugar. Just delicious drink.

nutritional facts

All I have left to talk about with BOSS is the company history, so what the heck let’s dive into it. The BOSS American website is sparse, only mentioning that Suntory was founded in 1899 but BOSS coffee itself is a product of the 90’s, originating as Boss Super Brew in 1992. Wikipedia says 2019 was the official launch year in the US, Australia, and New Zealand, and notes that in those countries Faulker doesn’t have a pipe. I don’t think I ever noticed it going between domestic and import BOSS selections but it’s true! There’s not much more information in English, at least that I can find at work.

Taste wise, gooood morning! Wow, that’s bitter! I guess it makes sense it’s nothing but coffee but even still. I had Melody try it and even it couldn’t work out any flavor profile more complex than bitter. Part of me was hoping that this would use the same roasted beans as BOSS luxury (the blue can,) since that had some amazing flavors that weren’t covered by cream and sugar. My hopes are dashed. I may put some sugar in this and carry on with my day, or I may toss it. I don’t know! A low point for BOSS.
